Second Stage Round 3: Massagno - Fribourg 65-81

Fribourg (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat Massagno (0-3) 81-65. Fribourg made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a quality performance for Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international swingman Dusan Mladjan (198-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Fribourg's coach Petar Aleksic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Jules Aw (202-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-91, college: La-Monroe) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Massagno in the defeat. Four Massagno players scored in double figures. Fribourg will meet at home Neuchatel (#4) in the next round. Massagno will play against Boncourt and hopes to get finally their first victory.
