Important game to mention about took place in Basel. Starwings (2-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Winterthur (0-3) 86-83 on Saturday evening. Starwings made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Croatian guard Petar Babic (190-85) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue, agency: HMS) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Bakari Copeland (198-95, college: Md-E Shore) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard RJ Price (180-93, college: Radford) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Winterthur. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Starwings will face Swiss Central (#10) in Luzern in the next round. Winterthur will play at home against Monthey and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
