There was no surprise in Vladivostok where 8th ranked Irkut Irkutsk (19-20) was defeated by second ranked Spartak-Prim. (30-9) 83-69 on Saturday. Latvian power forward Artjoms Butjankovs (205-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Alexey Babushkin (196-94) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian-Montenegrin point guard Filip Samojlovic (183-90) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak-Prim. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 30-9 record having just two points less than leader Samara-SGEU. Irkut Irkutsk lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 20 games lost. They share it with MBA Moscow.
