Bottom-ranked Winterthur (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Monthey (3-1) 73-55. It was a very good performance for American forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: 3Eye) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Serbian center Uros Nikolic (207-87, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. American center Deshawn Painter (205-90, college: ODU) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Bakari Copeland (198-95, college: Md-E Shore) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Winterthur. Defending champion maintains seventh position in Places 7-12 with 3-1 record, which they share with Starwings. Winterthur at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Monthey's next round opponent will be Starwings (#8) in Basel. Winterthur will play on the road against Lakers (#11) in Vevey and hopes to get finally their first victory.
