Second Stage Round 4: Geneve Lions - Lugano Tigers 78-62

The game between Top Four teams took place in Geneve. Third ranked host Geneve Lions (3-1) defeated their biggest opponent Lugano Tigers (2-2) 78-62. It was a key game for the second position in Places 1-6. Geneve Lions shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marquis Addison (195-91, college: Missouri So., agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Swedish point guard Thomas Massamba (183-85) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. Geneve Lions' coach Vedran Bosnic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Isaiah Williams (201-92, college: Iona) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Geneve Lions moved-up to second place in Places 1-6. Lugano Tigers at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Geneve Lions are looking forward to face league's leader Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lugano Tigers will play against Boncourt and are hoping to win this game.
