Second-ranked Uralmash (20-7) was very close to win a game against first ranked Burevestnik (25-4) in Yaroslav on Wednesday. Burevestnik managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Uralmash. Burevestnik made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Uralmash helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Anton Ageev (191-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Forward Alexander Stulenkov (205-92, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Center Andrey Voron (208-87) answered with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Dmitriy Ezhov (207-91, agency: AproK Sports Group) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Uralmash. Uralmash's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Burevestnik maintains first place with 25-4 record. Uralmash at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Burevestnik are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Uralmash in Ekaterinburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Uralmash will play on the road against Tambov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
