We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Barnau where 6th ranked AltajBasket (7-25) was defeated by seventh ranked Elbrus Cherk. (7-25) 70-60 on Thursday. Elbrus Cherk. outrebounded AltajBasket 41-26 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Georgiy Lachev (194-93) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Igor Gutnev (192-92) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Klim Muskulis (186-88) with 13 points and 6 assists and Artem Stepantsov (196-98) scored 18 points. Elbrus Cherk. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated AltajBasket.
