There was no surprise when 6th ranked Boncourt (1-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked Lugano Tigers (3-2) 95-89 on Saturday. Lugano Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Boncourt's players. The former international forward Derek Stockalper (196-84, college: Cal Poly - SLO) stepped up and scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American power forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Brandon Brown (180-91, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 31 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized French guard Marlon Kessler (192-98) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Lugano Tigers and four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers moved-up to second place in Places 1-6, which they share with Geneve Lions. Loser Boncourt dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Neuchatel.
