Second Stage Round 3: Alba - Falco-Vulcano 71-70

Important game to mention about took place in Szekesfehervar. Alba (21-8) saved a 1-point victory at home edging Falco-Vulcano (20-8) 71-70 in the fight for the second place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Falco-Vulcano won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American swingman SirDominic Pointer (198-92, college: St.John's) who saved his team from a defeat with 14 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: 3Eye) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Alba's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (201-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and international point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) added 21 points in the effort for Falco-Vulcano. Alba will play against Szolnok on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falco-Vulcano will play against Kormend and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
