Second Stage Round 4: Kormend - Falco-Vulcano 78-95

An interesting game for Falco-Vulcano (21-8) which played road game in Kormend against 4th ranked Kormend (18-11). Third ranked Falco-Vulcano had an easy win 95-78. The game without a history. Falco-Vulcano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kormend's 26. The winners were led by international guard Benedek Varadi (195-95) who scored that evening 24 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) supported him with 23 points and 6 assists. Five Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Eric Fanning (196-92, college: Boston U.) did not help to save the game for Kormend. His fellow American import forward Justin Tuoyo (208-94, college: Chattanooga) added 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Falco-Vulcano moved-up to second place in Division. Kormend at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Falco-Vulcano will meet at home league's leader Szolnok in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kormend will play against KTE-Duna in Kecskemet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
