Second Stage Round 8: PVSK-Veolia - Atomeromu 76-75

Important game to mention about took place in Pecs. First ranked PVSK-Veolia (19-15) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Atomeromu (16-17) 76-75 on Wednesday evening. Atomeromu cut a 13-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. The winners were led by American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) supported him with 15 points and 10 assists. Four PVSK-Veolia players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists by international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) did not help to save the game for Atomeromu. American guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) added 24 points for the guests. PVSK-Veolia maintains first position in Division with 19-15 record. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the third place with 17 games lost. PVSK-Veolia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atomeromu will play at home against the league's second-placed ZTE KK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
