Second Stage Round 8: ZTE KK - Kaposvari 88-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Zalaegerszeg. Second ranked host ZTE KK (18-15) defeated 4th ranked Kaposvari (15-18) 88-77. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. ZTE KK's coach Tamas Bencze used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. ZTE KK maintains second position in Division with 18-15 record having nine points less than leader Szolnok. Loser Kaposvari keeps the fourth place with 18 games lost. ZTE KK will face Atomeromu (#3) in Paks in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kaposvari will play on the road against Szedeak in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
