The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of PEAC-Pecs (0-1) in Szekszard on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Atomeromu (2-0) 55-50. Atomeromu outrebounded PEAC-Pecs 43-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford, agency: ProDep Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). At the losing side international guard Zsofia Simon (181-89, agency: Interperformances) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and international power forward Judit Barnai (189-94) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Atomeromu are looking forward to face NKE-Csata (#7) in Budapest in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PEAC-Pecs will play at home against MTK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
