The most surprising game was a loss of Neuchatel (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Fribourg (1-0) 84-82. Fribourg dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Neuchatel's 28. They outrebounded Neuchatel 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Neuchatel helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Justin Roberson (181-93, college: La-Monroe) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Fribourg players scored in double figures. Naturalized Dominican point guard Bryan Colon (181-92) responded with 22 points and 5 assists and the former international guard Brian Savoy (186-92) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fribourg is looking forward to face Massagno (#7) at home in the next round. Neuchatel will play against Boncourt and is hoping to win this game.
