Regular Season Round 3: Lugano Tigers - Pully 91-89

Important game to mention about took place in Lugano. Lugano Tigers (3-0) saved a 2-point victory at home edging Pully (1-1) 91-89 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Lugano Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pully's 44. Pully was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American center Nolan Berry (208-94, college: Maryville, MO) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Steven Green (196-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) contributed with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. Nigerian power forward Avery Ugba (204-94, college: Austin Peay St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and American guard Anton Wilson (196-94, college: Detroit Mercy) added 18 points in the effort for Pully. Pully's coach Randoald Dessarzin tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lugano Tigers will play against Fribourg (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pully will play against Monthey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
