The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of AEL (0-1) on the court of E.N. Paralimni on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by E.N. Paralimni 75-64. Strangely AEL outrebounded E.N. Paralimni 54-35 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Trey Dickerson (183-94, college: Georgetown) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Cadarian Raines (206-90, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side guard Ameen Tanksley (196-92, college: Hofstra, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and forward Dion Wright (201-93, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. E.N. Paralimni is looking forward to face Apollon (#6) in Limassol in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AEL will play at home against Omonia and is hoping to win this game.
