Regular Season Round 4: Uralmash - Irkut 79-81

Important game to mention about took place in Ekaterinburg. Eleventh ranked Irkut Irkutsk (2-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Uralmash (1-2) 81-79 on Friday evening. It was a very good performance for American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-95, college: Niagara) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 assists. Serbian power forward Milos Macura (211-90, college: Trevecca Naz.) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Andrey Loginov (204-93) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Dmitriy Nezvankin (186-93) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Uralmash. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Irkut Irkutsk moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Uralmash keeps the tenth position with two games lost. Irkut Irkutsk will face league's leader Temp in Revda in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Uralmash will play at home against Novosybirsk (#7) and hope to win that game.
