Regular Season Round 4: Vasas Akademia - Atomeromu 51-88

Very expected game in Budapest where bottom-ranked Vasas Akademia (0-2) was crushed by top-ranked Atomeromu (4-0) 88-51 on Saturday. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Vasas Akademia's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Vasas Akademia's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and international forward Livia Gereben (183-99) who added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Coach Zeljko Djokic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side forward Reka Dombai (179-2) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Atomeromu maintains second position with 4-0 record behind leader Sopron Basket. Loser Vasas Akademia still closes the standings with two games lost. Atomeromu will face league's leader Sopron Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vasas Akademia will play against PEAC-Pecs (#6) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
