Regular Season Round 3: Dynamo NR - UMMC 49-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Dynamo NR (1-1) in Novosibirsk on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by UMMC Ekaterinburg (3-0) 90-49. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo NR's 32. UMMC Ekaterinburg had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international power forward Raisa Musina (191-98) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 19 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Talia Caldwell (188-91, college: California) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Katerina Polyashova (188-96, agency: LBM Management) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg is looking forward to face Inventa (#7) in Kursk in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Dynamo NR will play at home against Spartak Vidnoye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
