Bottom-ranked Pully (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-32 loss to fourth ranked Winterthur (2-1) in Pully. They held Pully to an opponent 19.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 52.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Winterthur forced 29 Pully turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Keani Albanez (178-93, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 steals. Forward Maya Singleton (183-95, college: St.John's) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Madeline Manning (188-93) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Carolee Dillard (188-94, college: UALR) added 10 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Pully. Pully's coach Jean Fernandez already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Winterthur moved-up to third place, which they share with Geneve Basket. Pully at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Winterthur will play against BBC Troist. (#5) in Troistorrents in the next round. Pully will play on the road against Helios in Vetroz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
