Regular Season Round 5: Spartak-Prim. - Burevestnik 91-64

Date: October 22, 2018
Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Burevestnik (1-3) was outscored by fifth ranked Spartak-Prim. (3-1) in Vladivostok 91-64. 24 personal fouls committed by Burevestnik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Grigory Motovilov (194-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored 19 points and 6 assists. Power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Spartak-Prim. players scored in double figures. Ilia Aleksandrov (194-81) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Joe Thomasson (193-93, college: Wright St., agency: Two Points) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartak-Prim. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Spartak SP. Burevestnik lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with three games lost. Spartak-Prim.'s next round opponent will be MBA Moscow (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Burevestnik will play against Ural Ekaterinburg and hope to win that game.
