Everything went according to plan when leader Samara (4-0) defeated on the road 10th ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (1-3) 93-79. Samara players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Alexey Nesterov (204-88) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Igor Smygin (197-87) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Samara players scored in double figures.
