Regular Season Round 4: Apoel - E.N. Paralimni 82-75
Date: November 3, 2018
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Apoel as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Apoel defeated one of their biggest challengers E.N. Paralimni in Nicosia 82-75. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Apoel dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to E.N. Paralimni's 24. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Torian Graham (196-93, college: Arizona St., agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Jake O'Brien (206-89, college: Temple, agency: HMS) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard James Daniel III (183-94, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Jarvis Ray (198-90, college: TCU) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. E.N. Paralimni's coach Nikolas Papadopoulos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Keravnos. E.N. Paralimni at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. E.N. Paralimni will play next round against strong AEK Larnaca trying to get back on the winning streak. Apoel will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Omonia. It will be extra interesting game as Omonia is their local rival from Nicosia.
