Regular Season Round 7: Zenit-2 - Enisey-2 93-65

Bottom-ranked Enisey-2 is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Zenit-2 (5-2) 93-65. The game without a history. Zenit-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 26. They outrebounded Enisey-2 52-24 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zenit-2 brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for center Vladislav Sharapov (205-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 21 rebounds. Denis Nikitin (-99) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Zenit-2 players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Egor Bezrukov (185-0) responded with 10 points and swingman Vladislav Afanasiev (191-99) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zenit-2 maintains third place with 5-2 record having just three point less than leader CSKA Junior. Enisey-2 lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Zenit-2 will again play against bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (#11) in Krasnoyarsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Enisey-2 will have a break next round.
