Regular Season Round 6: BEAC Ujbuda - PEAC-Pecs 56-83

The game in Budapest supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked PEAC-Pecs (4-2) played at the court of 8th ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (1-4). PEAC-Pecs smashed BEAC-Ujbuda 83-56 on Saturday. PEAC-Pecs dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to BEAC-Ujbuda's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds. Slovakian forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. PEAC-Pecs' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Beatrix Meresz (184-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Dora Szabo (171-95) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for BEAC-Ujbuda. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Miskolc and Atomeromu. Loser BEAC-Ujbuda keeps the eighth position with four games lost. PEAC-Pecs will face league's second-placed ZTE NKK in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BEAC-Ujbuda will play at home against Miskolc (#5) and hope to win that game.
