An interesting game took place in Vladivostok where higher ranked Spartak-Prim. (5-2) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Universitet-Yugra (3-4) 89-85 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Spartak-Prim.. They outrebounded Spartak-Prim. 33-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists and Lithuanian point guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Universitet-Yugra's coach Sergei Olhov allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Grigory Motovilov (194-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 24 points and international guard Maxim Kolyushkin (192-90) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Universitet-Yugra moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Spartak-Prim. dropped to the third position with two games lost. Universitet-Yugra will face higher ranked Vostok-65 (#5) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Spartak-Prim. will play at home against Ural Ekaterinburg and hope to win that game.
