Regular Season Round 9: Zenit-Farm - Samara 68-90

Bottom-ranked Zenit-Farm (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 90-68 loss to fourth ranked Samara (6-2) in Sankt Petersburg. They also forced 19 Zenit-Farm turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Anton Glazunov (182-86) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Vladimir Pichkurov (193-90, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Ruslan Tumanov (195-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 16 points and point guard Kirill Salmin (187-95) added 15 points in the effort for Zenit-Farm. Four Zenit-Farm players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Samara moved-up to third place, which they share with Vostok-65. Zenit-Farm lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Samara will play against Kupol-Rodniki (#10) in Izhevsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zenit-Farm will play on the road against Khimky-Podmoskoye (#12) in Khimki and hopes to get finally their first victory.
