Leader Spartak St.Petersburg delivered the seventh win on Saturday night. This time they beat 12th ranked CSKA 2 (3-5) 67-56 in Sankt Petersburg. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CSKA 2. Spartak St.Petersburg forced 20 CSKA 2 turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by CSKA 2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was power forward Evgeny Fidiy (207-91) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Alexandr Varnakov (185-92) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Agasiy Tonoyan (202-98) who recorded 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Belarusian Mikhail Maleyko (206-96) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak St.Petersburg (7-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row.
