Date: November 10, 2018
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Keravnos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Keravnos defeated 7th ranked Etha in Strovolos 81-68. Keravnos made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Keravnos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American-Somalian forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) who scored 19 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). The former international power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Keravnos' coach Christoforos Livadiotis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Trevin Parks (180-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) produced 19 points and 5 assists and U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward LaRon Smith (203-93, college: Auburn) added 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Etha lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. Etha will play next round against strong AEL trying to get back on the winning streak. Keravnos will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Apoel in Nicosia.
