A very close game took place in Nicosia between Omonia and Apoel. Seventh ranked Omonia (2-3) got a very close home victory over second-ranked Apoel (3-2). Omonia managed to escape with a 3-point win 64-61 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Apoel. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Jarvis Garrett (183-95, college: Rhode Island) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 assists for the winners and guard Nick Griffin (188-95, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds.
