Regular Season Round 6: Etha - AEL 92-77

Another interesting game for Etha (2-4) which hosted in Nicosia against higher ranked AEL (3-3). Eighth ranked Etha had an easy win 92-77. They made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. AEL was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Point guard Trevin Parks (180-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Dustin Thomas (203-95, college: Arkansas) chipped in 28 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Deondre Parks (185-92, college: S.Dakota St.) with 15 points and 7 assists and forward Dion Wright (201-93, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five AEL players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Etha moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Apollon and Omonia. Newly promoted AEL dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Apoel and E.N. Paralimni. Etha will play against Apollon (#6) in Limassol in the next round. AEL will play at home against Apoel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
