Regular Season Round 8: PVSK-Veolia - Falco-Vulcano 53-68

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked PVSK-Veolia (6-2) in Pecs on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Falco-Vulcano (4-3) 68-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of PVSK-Veolia. Falco-Vulcano dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to PVSK-Veolia's 16. Falco-Vulcano forced 19 PVSK-Veolia turnovers. American forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Ron Curry (191-93, college: JMU) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. American guard Kameron Taylor (198-94, college: Seton Hill, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) added 13 points in the effort for PVSK-Veolia. Falco-Vulcano moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Alba and JP-Auto JKSE. PVSK-Veolia at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Kormend. Falco-Vulcano is looking forward to face higher ranked Kormend (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. PVSK-Veolia will play against the league's leader Szolnok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
