Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Uralmash (6-4) defeated 13th ranked Universitet-Yugra (3-7) in Surgut 77-71 on Thursday. Uralmash made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for the former international forward Andrey Zverkov (199-94) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Andrey Loginov (204-93) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Uralmash players scored in double figures. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 17 points and 4 assists and naturalized Belarusian power forward Valentin Iurchik (210-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Universitet-Yugra. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Uralmash moved-up to sixth place. Universitet-Yugra lost third consecutive game. Universitet-Yugra at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
