Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Lugano Tigers and 8th ranked Lakers had identical 3-4 record. This time Lugano Tigers used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Vevey 96-89. Lakers were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Xavier Pollard (193-91, college: Kent St.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Steven Green (196-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Swingman Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and guard Raijon Kelly (193-93, college: Angelo St.) added 21 points in the effort for Lakers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lugano Tigers (4-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Monthey. Lakers lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Swiss Central and Boncourt. Lugano Tigers will play against Boncourt (#7) on the road in the next round. Lakers will play against Neuchatel and hope to get back on the winning track.
