Regular Season Round 9: Alba - Kaposvari 67-89

An interesting game took place in Szekesfehervar where higher ranked Alba (4-4) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Kaposvari (3-6) 89-67 on Saturday. American guard Kasey Shepherd (190-94, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Kaposvari players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Marko Filipovity (204-96, college: High School) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Allerik Freeman (190-94, college: NC State) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kaposvari maintains twelfth place with 3-6 record. Loser Alba keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Kaposvari will face higher ranked PVSK-Veolia (#3) in Pecs in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
