Regular Season Round 9: UNI Gyor - MTK 85-71

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked UNI Gyor's (3-5) home victory over bottom-ranked MTK (1-6) 85-71 on Saturday. UNI Gyor made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Fruzsina Weber (182-96) came up with 14 points and Flora Szabo (187-92) added 15 points respectively for MTK in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UNI Gyor moved-up to seventh place. Loser MTK dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with BEAC Ujbuda and Cegledi EKK. UNI Gyor will meet higher ranked PEAC-Pecs (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MTK will play against Cegledi EKK (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
