Regular Season Round 9: Cegledi EKK - BEAC Ujbuda 76-79

BEAC-Ujbuda's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Cegled, where they edged Cegledi EKK (1-6) 79-76 on Sunday. BEAC-Ujbuda shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. It was a good game for Dora Szabo (171-95) who led her team to a victory with 31 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. The former international guard Anna Lakloth (181-88, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) answered with 17 points and 6 assists and swingman Agnes Gorjanacz (182-94) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Cegledi EKK. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BEAC-Ujbuda left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with MTK and Cegledi EKK. It was Cegledi EKK's third loss in a row. BEAC-Ujbuda is looking forward to face higher ranked ZTE NKK (#4) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cegledi EKK will play at home against MTK (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
