A very close game took place in Moscow between Khimky-Podmoskoye and MBA Moscow. Eighth ranked Khimky-Podmoskoye (6-5) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked MBA Moscow (4-8). Khimky-Podmoskoye managed to escape with a 1-point win 91-90 on Monday evening. Khimky-Podmoskoye had a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Egor Vyaltsev (193-85, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 steals and Igor Volkhin (200-97) who added 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) scored 24 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Khimky-Podmoskoye have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Uralmash. Loser MBA Moscow dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Burevestnik. Khimky-Podmoskoye will meet Kupol-Rodniki (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA Moscow will have a break next round.
