Regular Season Round 10: UBSC Graz - BK Decin 85-91

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Graz. First ranked Czech BK Decin faced 4th ranked Austrian UBSC Graz. Guests from Decin (4-2) defeated host UBSC Graz (0-6) 91-85. It looked good early as UBSC Graz took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then BK Decin had a 30-19 second period charge getting the lead and UBSC Graz was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-91. BK Decin players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) notched 12 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and Simon Jezek (190-90) supported him with 19 points. Even 22 points and 6 assists by Anton Maresch (191-91) did not help to save the game for UBSC Graz. Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Five BK Decin and four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. UBSC Graz's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BK Decin maintains first position with 4-2 record, which they share with 6 other teams. UBSC Graz at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. BK Decin will have a break next round. UBSC Graz will play on the road against the league's second-placed Levice (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
