Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Ryazan (6-5) and Neftekhimik T. (5-6), which took place in Tobolsk. 6th ranked Ryazan lost to ninth ranked Neftekhimik T. in a road game 85-96 on Friday. Neftekhimik T. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Ryazan's 26. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Neftekhimik T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ryazan's players. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Nikita Klyundikov (191-95) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Maksim Pylaev (196-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Yuriy Trubin (206-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Alexandr Klyuev (203-90) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ryazan in the defeat. Four Neftekhimik T. and five Ryazan players scored in double figures. Neftekhimik T. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Lok.Kuban KRS. Ryazan lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Neftekhimik T. will again meet at home higher ranked Ryazan (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ryazan will have a break next round.
