Regular Season Round 11: Lugano Tigers - Monthey 66-67

The most exciting game of round 11 in the SBL took place in Lugano. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 8th ranked Lugano Tigers (4-6) to fifth ranked Monthey (6-4) 67-66 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for American guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. American-Armenian forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) helped adding 16 points. American guard Xavier Pollard (193-91, college: Kent St.) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Steven Green (196-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Monthey maintains fifth place with 6-4 record. Lugano Tigers at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Boncourt. Monthey are looking forward to face higher ranked Neuchatel (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lugano Tigers will play against Starwings (#11) in Basel and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
