Very predictable result in Moscow where third ranked Runa Basket (11-4) defeated 12th ranked Dynamo STV (3-11) 78-66 on Saturday. Runa Basket shot 18 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Dynamo STV only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Dynamo STV 40-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Alexander Korchagin (188-88) fired 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Petr Shapovalov (203-93) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Andrey Lysenkov (190-92) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Runa Basket have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-4 record having just two point less than leader Ufimets Ufa. Loser Dynamo STV keeps the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Runa Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dynamo STV will play against the league's second-placed Dyn-Magn.ChL (#2) and hope to secure a win.
