Rather predictable result when third ranked Samara (11-3) defeated at home 6th ranked Spartak-Prim. (8-5) 77-71. They outrebounded Spartak-Prim. 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for guard Vladimir Pichkurov (193-90, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led the winners and scored 28 points. Maxim Dybovskiy (196-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-88) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: Connecticut, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points respectively for Spartak-Prim. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara have an impressive series of six victories in a row.
