There was no surprise in Budapest where 12th ranked MTK (1-8) was crushed by third ranked Miskolc (8-2) 94-57 on Sunday. Miskolc dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to MTK's 36. Miskolc forced 19 MTK turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) helped adding 16 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Miskolc players scored in double figures. Flora Szabo (187-92) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Janka Hegedus (185-94, college: FIU) scored 15 points. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Miskolc. They moved-up to second place. MTK lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Miskolc will meet at home Cegledi EKK (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MTK will play against Atomeromu and hope to win that game.
