Very expected game when 11th ranked Enisey-2 (3-17) was smashed by sixth ranked N.Novgorod-2 (10-10) in Nizhny Novgorod 119-53 on Tuesday. The game without a history. N.Novgorod-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 28. N.Novgorod-2 forced 29 Enisey-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 51-24 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Ivan Pynko (195-0) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Vladimir Karpenko contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five N.Novgorod-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Danil Pazdnikov (198-98) replied with 16 points and guard Danil Dergachev (185-98) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Enisey-2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. N.Novgorod-2 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Enisey-2 stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. N.Novgorod-2 will face league's second-placed Khimki-2 at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Enisey-2 will play against Samara-2 (#5) and hope to win that game.
