Regular Season Round 12: MTK - Atomeromu 60-74

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Atomeromu (8-3) beat bottom-ranked MTK (1-9) in Budapest 74-60. Atomeromu forced 19 MTK turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Alexandra Theodorean (178-91) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals and American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford, agency: ProDep Management) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Flora Szabo (187-92) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Noemi Czirjak (179-93) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atomeromu moved-up to third place, which they share with ZTE NKK. MTK lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Atomeromu will play against PEAC-Pecs (#5) on the road in the next round. MTK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest NKE-Csata.
