Very expected game when 9th ranked Swiss Central (3-9) lost to fourth ranked Massagno (9-3) in Luzern 83-88 on Saturday. Massagno outrebounded Swiss Central 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Jules Aw (202-86) nailed a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American guard James Sinclair (194-93, college: W.Carolina) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Senegalese power forward Ibrahima Camara (206-94, college: New Hampshire) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St.) added 24 points and 5 assists respectively for Swiss Central in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Massagno. They moved-up to third place. Loser Swiss Central dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Massagno will meet at home league's second-placed Fribourg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Swiss Central will have a break next round.
