No shocking result in a game when second ranked Samara (13-3) beat 11th ranked CSKA 2 (6-9) in Moscow 82-66 on Sunday. Samara made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 CSKA 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 40-16 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Anton Glazunov (182-86) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Samara players scored in double figures. Aleksandr Ershov (197-0, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 18 points and guard Yuriy Umrikhin (191-99) added 16 points in the effort for CSKA 2. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara have an impressive series of seven victories in a row.
