Regular Season Round 11: Etha - Keravnos 69-70

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Division A took place in Nicosia. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Etha (4-7) to second ranked Keravnos (8-3) 70-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Etha. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman LaMarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) chipped in 17 points. American Chris Flemmings (197-94, college: NC-Wilmington) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Dustin Thomas (202-95, college: Arkansas) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Keravnos and four Etha players scored in double figures. Keravnos maintains second place with 8-3 record having just one point less than leader AEK Larnaca. Etha at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Omonia. Keravnos are looking forward to face Apoel (#3) in Nicosia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Etha will play on the road against AEL in Limassol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
