Regular Season Round 12: Omonia - E.N. Paralimni 66-70

Bottom-ranked E.N. Paralimni managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Omonia in Nicosia 70-66. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-14. But Omonia won second period 20-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by guard Adonis Filer (195-93, college: Florida Atlantic) who scored that evening 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Cadarian Raines (206-90, college: Virginia Tech) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Even 18 points by guard Nick Griffin (188-95, college: St.Peter's) did not help to save the game for Omonia. Point guard Jarvis Garrett (182-95, college: Rhode Island) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. E.N. Paralimni (4-8) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Omonia. Omonia lost fourth consecutive game. E.N. Paralimni will meet at home higher ranked Keravnos (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Omonia will play against the league's second-placed AEK Larnaca (#2) and hope to secure a win.
